Investing in the Future of Learning: Tools Competition III

For the third consecutive year, Axim Collaborative is supporting the Learning Engineering Tools Competition, an open funding initiative that accelerates innovation in education technology to address the most pressing challenges facing learners. The competition is an initiative of Renaissance Philanthropy, managed by The Learning Agency and fiscally sponsored by the Digital Harbor Foundation. The University of Minnesota serves as an academic partner to provide design and evaluation support and lead impact studies of winning teams.

This year, Axim is co-funding the Building Pathways to Postsecondary Success (PS) track, which focuses on expanding access to higher education and strengthening connections to career success for learners in community colleges and broad access institutions. Competitive proposals will make postsecondary education more accessible, relevant, and effective, particularly for learners attending community colleges and broad-access institutions. The PS track supports tools that bridge education and employment, foster personal and professional growth, and help learners develop the skills, networks, and support they need to succeed in both learning and work.

The Tools Competition offers a powerful opportunity to support solutions that bridge learning and employment, embed universal design principles, and leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, while strengthening a growing community of innovators, researchers, and funders dedicated to improving outcomes for all learners.

To date, the competition has awarded more than $20 million to 150 winners, currently impacting nearly 50 million learners worldwide.
