Roadtrip Nation

Bringing AI-Powered Career Navigation to Community College Students

For many learners, particularly those who are first-generation or face financial constraints, personal networks are often their only window into career possibilities. This can unintentionally narrow their sense of what’s achievable and limit their career aspirations.

Roadtrip Nation is addressing this gap by helping learners see what’s possible through Virtual Roadtrip, an AI-powered career navigation experience delivering personalized career exploration and guidance at key decision points.

Drawing on Roadtrip Nation’s archive of more than 13,500 professionally produced career interviews, Virtual Roadtrip uses AI to match learners with stories, educational pathways, and career options. By connecting learners with people who share their backgrounds, interests, and values, Virtual Roadtrip expands their sense of what is possible. Learners move from exploration into action, taking next steps such as meeting with an advisor, enrolling in a degree program, or seeking an internship.

Axim Collaborative is partnering with Roadtrip Nation to scale Virtual Roadtrip into community colleges across the country. The partnership will also support the development of key features that strengthen existing advising and career services. These features will enable students to build actionable career plans while giving advisors visibility into learner interests and pathway summaries, making every counseling conversation more targeted and timely.

The partnership aims to reach 15,000 learners across 250 institutions over five years, with community college validation as the foundation for national expansion.
